I prefer to keep my cars Glocked.

True. you can keep a loaded handgun on the seat or dash in VA. It must be in plain sight. Putting it in a bag, under a newspaper or pocket is not plain sight.

The most law abiding segment of VA pop is CCP holders. Clergy commit more crimes in VA than CCP holders.

The couple got the ticket dropped. Reported on NBC last night.
Happy ending.

Most of the guys wearing suits on the Hill are criminals of some sort!

Especially the ones in that white building.

Pari, Talk to the media. I would love to see a solid reporter with the cojones to look into local police profiling. Maybe you should carry a pocket copy of the constitution around with you so that the next cop can read it (if he can read) and remind him that Bush hasn't taken away all your rights yet.

Pari, if you want to really get harrassed by cops, do exactly what Mark suggests.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Bush has/had nothing whatsoever to do with a local cop's detaining someone for a traffic violation, suspected drug or stolen car violations. Baseless though that detention may be, you're really missing the mark if you think Bush, or any federal official for that matter, is responsible for it.

Before it gets out of hand, the original quote was attributable to me and was supposed be a joke ;)

Politics is politics  , some police officers are cool. The problem is I just was unlucky enough to interact with cops that were not professional at all, they were acting like a bunch of goons :? .

Actually, cops run the gamut, like the rest of us. Unlike the rest of us, however, they have a gun and handcuffs and are allowed to use them. Therein lies the problem. Take a good person and give them too much authority without enough training.

My snide remark was off the cuff but on point. Our rights are slowly being taken away all in the inane name of security. If we all looked like Pari, I think we all might see a different side of the paranoia being handed down.

I am glad I'm white and blond, since we haven't been at war with Germany for over 50 years, otherwise I might worry more.

Really, it starts at the top and flows down. Time we change the flow of the current.

Pari, next time if it is in MD call me, I'll cover it for free!

Preach on brotherman :D ! I'm am with you, it's reassuring that others out there feel the same way. It's also good to know that I have an option instead of just putting up with it, thanks  .

Yeah, he's too busy having the Secret Service beat up people who ask questions he doesn't like.

I saw to unbelievable undercover cars on I495 just across the American Legion bridge into VA.

First was a jewel blue large american luxury car pulling over a motorist. It was similar to a new top-of-the-line Chrysler. Not standard undercover fodder.

The other was a jewel red Ford Expedition! There was a fender-bender just before entering the bridge to MD. They pulled behind the two cars and on went the lights in the grill. All the turn signals were flashers too. A few moments later it pulled back into traffic and crossed into MD (it had VA tags). They took 495 towards Silver Spring.
