I will be out there this Sunday around 5:00, If you would lie to stop over let me know.
I have to pull the covers first to see if there are any broken studs.( I hope not) .. If you want to stop over that's fine with me, Share your knowledge with me.. I need it...
I guess I should order new gaskets or can I reuse the old ones

I just ordered a set won't be here in time, but still going to take them off. I have a garage just need a compression tester... Do they make something to screw into the spark plug hole and has a hose so I could put a air quick disconnect on. I have a leak down gage setup just need the part for the plug hole.
More then welcome to stop on by my house. Just let me know . Call me

I have used an actron pressure tester I bought at pep boys...its only about 30 bucks...and you may check some of these places will loan it to you and give your money back when you return it...have also heard of folks making up a set up with a guage and an old spark plug with some hose..

Hey Len, I'll still be happy to come by on Sunday to chat with you and do the compression test, if you can't get a tester I'll bring mine. Sounds like some of the other guys might want to hang out too. If you decide to pull the covers off before then you'll have to get them back on before the compression test, otherwise you'll have a lot of oil everywhere but in the engine....

Len 911 06-05-2015 07:18 AM

I will wait until the compression test is done , Not sure if I will have time to get out in the garage before Sunday.. I do not mine if anyone wants to stop by. Just let me know ahead of time so I can get food and beverages....What is the beverage of choice ? let me know.
I know this isn't a big task but if you want to hang out you all are welcome.

Also if anyone has a leak down tester and can bring it please do..

Thanks
Len

Len, make sure the engine is stone cold so the plugs can be removed without damage. Also, if you can, remove the plastic air guide that goes from the electric fan above the engine to the rearmost engine tray and remove the three bolts and one nut that holds the AC compressor to its mount so we can have easy access to the spark plugs and valve covers. Send me a PM with your phone # and we'll touch base on Saturday.

I wanted to give a big thanks to Chris ( Intubator) for his help this weekend. Very nice guy and one BAD A$$ Car. Even the neighbors came out to look at his car . We did a compression test and found one cylinder really bad (130 psi) all were pretty good. I was expecting more of the cylinders to show low compression. As for the head lead I thought I hear,He does not think the sound is from a head leak. So I will have to look more into that, maybe it is just the sound of the motor, What do I know.
I will be taking it for a valve adjustment and to see if they can check the torque on the heads.
Anyone up for a valve adjustment party.

Thanks again Chris for the time you gave up to help me out. Learned a lot from you in the short time you were there.
Thanks
Len
