Have you got a good source? Vertex runs them for $289 a piece.
Which 930 rotors? The also list one for $105, hmmm. I need new rotors soon too, can you post some pics of yours, hopefully I have the $105 version.

Thanks for all the feedback! The dust cap info allows me to make sense of the picture sent along by the fellow I bought the rotors from - a Rennlist deal. 1980 seems to be an oddball year for rotors - the prices are all over the map. These prices are off Pelican:

911 Turbo (1976-77) - $48.75
911 Turbo (1978-80) - $379.50
911 Turbo (1981-89) - $137.50

Go figure. I did ok - $300 for the pair.

Greg, can I have the old rotors if you dont need them? That looks like my setup, damn, I was hoping I had the 1981-89 style. I want to measure things up before I oreder them.

To confirm, you have the spendy version, right?

Sometimes you just have to wonder how Porsche engineering can turn out elegant pieces of work year after year, and yet still manage to leave us with abominations like this one.

Dust caps that require bridge iron and a hammer for removal. Its sad.

How did the 935 racers deal with this? Weld a large eye bolt onto the cap, and have a Clydesdale handy behind the pit wall, I guess.

Looks like the non floater rotor if that matters. The extra offset is real plain in the picture too. Chris what year is you front brakes from? I don’t remember you having that much “hat” on yours.

Chris,

That picture is of the cheaper, non-floating rotors. Greg's car has the floating ones based on the prices he quoted and his vintage.

That rotor in the picture is the part PET5 recommends. It says the original part number has been superceeded by the part in the picture (and in my possesion).

:?

Greg posted the picture of his own setup - non floating - $300 = 2 rotors :?:

Here's my setup. I'll cross my fingers, click my heels and hope I have the 'cheap' rotors.
