I noticed that no one has asked about the living space :!: Remember garages are cubes, install compressor, other items & storage high up. Save the floor for real work:!:

Congrat's man, home ownership is a bold move.

Good note on the hi-cap mags, forward me any leads on 15 round .40 glock mags. :)

How many indescriminate killing sprees do you plan on going on? BTW I will take a porsche as legal representation compensation.

Rick Lee 09-14-2004 10:42 AM

No killing sprees, just personal/home defense and target shooting. People in cars scare me a lot more than people with guns. And they let people buy cars that go over 65mph! Why does anyone need a car like that?

Have you pissed off that many people?

Rick Lee 09-14-2004 12:01 PM

What does that mean?

If you feel safer unarmed in the People's Republic of MD, dialing 911 and waiting for the cops to show up and take the report, then VA may not be for you.

Hey Chris, let's hook up for a gun show in a month or so. Lots of hi-cap. magazines should be around soon and much cheaper than in the last 10 yrs. I have quite a shopping list!

cmartin 09-14-2004 01:54 PM

Sounds good man. I've only been to 1 gun show, not exactly my cup of tea, but with you it should be a blast. Those mag prices were getting out of control.

Ha! Safer in MD, yeah right, you have to worry about the 9-1-1 operator falling asleep while you are on the phone with them  . To feel safe I would go with the AR-15  .
RL, let me know when you plan on installing the lightweight flywheel, I would love to come by and spectate. I will bring the PBR .

Rick: I may have to re-evaluate my current gun list with the new law change. Is Blue Ridge still a good place to go? I used to drive to Richmond from time to time to buy guns.

RickC, Is Chantilly in Fairfax Co.? If so, I think they have a silly waiting period, despite the instant check. Last handgun I bought was in Richmond, so I was able to take it right home with me after they ran my paperwork. Greentop is a super gun store right off 95 by Kings Dominion. I'm sure those guys will have everything. Still, we need to wait a month at least for the "assault weapons" to be made and delivered. I don't care about getting the first post-ban-expiration AR-15 in Fairfax Co., so I may wait until prices have stabilized a little. I sure would hate to have one of those silly ban-compliant AR-15's without the flash suppressor. My night vision is very important to me;).

Honestly, I just plan to get a SIG .40 cal. for the magazines, since my .45 is too big for a high-cap. magazine. And I want an AR-15 as an investment, in case that law ever gets renewed. Since you can shoot just about anything at the NRA Range and it's right around the corner from my new place, I think an AR-15 would be a nice house-warming gift to myself.
