Took about 4-5 hours... I used two cans of easy off and a 1300 psi sprayer... driveway evolution > the wx was so nice ..

Rob cameover and asked GP questions about the 911 > he discoved that he already has SSIs on his...

I oprdered the M&K fri night as wella s the oil lines,gasgets .. so the SSI evolution probablly next weekend > UPS providing...

Ha! Yes - thanks for pointing them out to me Kim. :) That was actually the first time I got to get under the car and take a look. I was aware the the exhaust was backdated to '74, but didn't really understand the reasoning. Now I know. Now considering a Fabspeed sometime next year, unless a great deal comes along before then.

Suggestions on the cleaning of SSIs... not that I'm a concours fanatic... but my engine doeesn't leak.. and I'd like to put these babys on clean..

Nylon brush ? "simple Green >[where do you get it??>> lots of elbow grease???

McMaster Carr sells a hand held media blaster for around $55. With this you can use a soda media available form several sources (probably local to you) for about $20 for a 50 lb bag.

This stuff is great for cleaning lots of stuff on your car. Would be perfect for the exhaust. You will never use bead blasting again. Soda is water soluble and leaves the part clean without marking or destroying the original finish. It will remove paint at higher pressures. At lower pressures you can use it to clean your wheels. Wash the residue away with a hose. It is perfect for cleaning aluminum parts like transmission housings. Unlike glass bead you don't have to worry about abrasives getting into areas where oil or fluids will be.
