Simple Green worked when I cleaned my motor. Although all the gunk came back, (see post about oil leaks). I think you can get it from Wally World and such. I know it used to be in both the car section and the cleaning section of Wally World. I've never seen it in a grocery store. Maybe Sam's or Costco, I don't shop at either one but know people that love them.

Nylon brush or maybe some steel wool. They are stainless right? The steel wool will just polish them. Fine steel wool, not too rough. The rough stuff will leave scratches.

O and a 911 motor that doesn't leak? O someday...

Simple green works well, but is a little anemic. For baked/caked on crud, Castrol Super Clean (any local auto parts supplier) works awesome. Spray, let sit and literally sponge/rinse off. If you're nuts-o, Wenol to buff to a mirror finish

Oven cleaner should work on SS. Don't use it on or near aluminum. As will a propane torch and wire brush.

You can get Simple Green at K-mart too. Also do not use greased lightening, it says on the bottle do not use on alloy, zinc, magnesium and another one. I'd be afraid it might eat apart some of the fastners or washers.

Good job Dude! How long did it take, and did you do it in the garage or driveway? When do they go on?
