How do you ensure the slave cylinder push rod seats properly with the clutch release mechanism?
There is no room to see anything and you are working mostly by feel. When I pressed on the clutch it just goes down to the floor. Also I rectangular rubber cover fell down on my chest. Where does this thing go?

That rubber cover goes where you can see the push rod seat into the fork. You'll need a light and an inspection mirror. Or you can just feel it and take a chance.

Howard, do you have a Bentley manual? If not, you can borrow mine so you can get your car back together.

Thanks, I have the manual. The only thing I took off was the slave cylinder.
