Question Bad turn signal relay?

My turn signals have been eratic lately. The speed of the blinking varies and occationally stays on and not blink at all. Does this sound like a bad relay or a bad switch?

Bad ground. All electrical problems in these cars are the result of bad grounds .

Make sure all of the lights are working - the signal rate speeds up when a bulb is bad. If the bround is bad, this could simulate this effect. You could try another flasher relay, but my hunch is that that's not the problem. You're welcome to borrow the one in my car to test it out before buying a new one.

In older cars (older than ours) a flasher realy would go real fast whe it went bad.

In my car I've had some strange things. Right rear stoplight was weak and at the same time when you hit the brake, the little light in the H4 would light and I assume possibly the front right running light.
The rear stop bulb is not really tight in it's socket and I think it vibrates to the point that it'snot grounding. Pull it out and put it back in makes it all better again. I'm thinking next time to wrap some foil arround it so the fit and ground is better.

Yesterday, the car wouldn't start when I left work to go home. This was caused by a corroded ground terminal on the battery. Almost impossible to see, only slight traces on the top of the terminal. It was there and just as easily fixed.
After these two recent incidences, I have to agree with Chris!

BTW, and probably a different issue: when the turn signal goe on, both of the little "euro" sidemarkers blink. Could this be correct?
