Happy to report that I sucessfully replaced the oil pressure sender unit in my 80 911SC >> and I now have REAL oil pressure >> I can't begin to tell you how good it feels to see that gauge reading 3-4 bar when engine is at 3-4krpm and idle at 1 bar.. [instead of the old {heart-pounding} wee-bit above 0]
Task was simple > stubby 15/16 wrench on the sender > leverage with big screwdriver... and it loosened right up... Replaced the speedo sender unit > got the speedo working again > but my odometer is still kaput >> ideas?? Hollywood speedo time??
