Default Toyo T1-s v. Toyo T1-r

Have you guys seen the new Toyo Proxes T1-R coming to a store near you?

Here is a link to Toyo Canada and the Spec Page.. There is an interesting comparison of data under the pattern technology .jpg link

... that has color contact pressure signature images while under braking and shows the T1-R out-performing the T1-S.

Depending on prices ... these might be a great setup for street and occasional DE without having to pull the trigger on R-compound RA-1s. Given all the recent hyperbole on greenies using R-compounds ... try a set of these "near r-compounds" which, I am sure squeal like a pig, and go have a blast!

Food for thought.

Thanks for this post. Very pertinent considering that I was thinking about getting new tires.

very interesting tread pattern. The edges of the contact patch will end up with relatively little to no tread once broken in (ala victoracer), but has very similar inner pattern to yoko 032's which evacuate water quite well. Should be real firm grip with right wear rating. Wonder how the sidewalls are? Also, shouldnt chunk.

Uh, no, but they will be in 235/40ZR-18 and 285/30ZR-18 in "2nd quarter 2005." Hmm. They may be quite tasty.

Ted, you got a set of Sbarro-style rear flares ordered to go with a set of 19x14s??? Sheesh.

I'm only looking for a set of 18x11 et 63s for the rear of my little pcar...
