Default Rear seat belts

In my Mitsubishi (and I'm sure most modern cars) the rear seats beats are designed so when you slowly let them retract, they will stay locked (for car seats).

I tried this in my 911 and it didn't work. Does anyone know if I can update my rear belts to the modern design that lock?

For what reason? It's not like you're going to be able to get much more than a 4 year old back there. I don't even put my 3 1/2 year old in the back seat. When ever he & I ever go anywhere where I just put his booster seat in the front and off we go!

Howard,

If you're looking to secure a child seat, just purchase some manual selt belts from your local auto parts store. Attach the new brackets with existing seatbelt bolts. Then use the LATCH belts that come with the child seat to secure.

FYI, Graco Comfort Sports fit perfectly in the rear. You can pick them up at Babies r Us for under $100.

That locking feature lets you torque down on the tension and there is no slack when securing a booster. She just too small to use the 911's 3 point belt. She still must use the five point belt on her booster seat.

I'll try the manual belts.
