Just replaced the front seal and it went in fine but........ (and isn't there always one) at the top, where the notch is, the grooves in the seal bunched up. Should I junk this one and try again?? Otherwise, it is flush and the inner flap didn't fold over! (oh and of course I used oil when I installed it)

The 3rd time was a charm for me. It sounds like the seal isnt quite right, I had exactly the same problem.

It helps if you make sure that there are no burrs on the edges and you apply lubricant to the seal and the bore. Silicone lubricant works great here.
