Default Taxes and the P-car

I recently moved from Arlington to Prince William County. I got the tax bills from both counties.

For my 83 Porsche PWC assessed it as $10,186 and Arlington a whopping $100.

For my daily driver, a 99 Jeep, there was only a $600 difference (higher in PWC of course).

Got my Arlington bills today also.

88 Toyota Tercel: $24
82 Porsche 911: $24

Guess what we pay in personal property makes up for the cheap car taxes.

I can help you here. Move to Maryland, no personal property taxes and down here on the shore, a $500,000 house pays less than $2000 real estate taxes. Give me a call

Your "tax" will be a renewed suspension at a mere 30,000 miles.

Not only no tax but no yearly decal costs as well. One time DMV registration of $12.50 and Fairfax Co. sends me a FREE county sticker each year.

But you can't drive it to work with the black plates - or more than 250 miles from home

Oooohhhh...! i always wondered why those black plates looked fake! They come as a discount
shoot, i'd take that discount in MD! I wish we had cheap vanity plates. They charge you every two years for the vanity plates. Like it costs them every 2 years to make them
