Default CIS help :(

This weekend I found the house from the intake boot to the aux air regulator has a slice in it. There is not a hole in the hose, but a slice, odd. Anyway, Pelican lists the hose for ~$320. I havent called around yet, and honestly dont want to buy it from Pelican but I have to assume that price is at least in the ball park.

Anyone have one of these they can part with? (Long shot I know) After taking a deep breath after seeing the price I've been looking at other options. I'm not quite ready for duct tape, but heater hose has crossed my mind. I dont see how this can be replaced with the engine in the car, so I would like to put this potential to bed.

Any thoughts?

You could try that new self bonding tape. You could also get some heat shrink tubing the right diameter and some CA glue. Glue the wound. Run heat shrink over the wound, shrink it and run a bead of CA around the edges of the heat shrink to seal and protect.

Heat shrik and CA is also a nice way to dress the tips of German vac hose so you don't get the frays.

It'll work while you wait for the part. Might work forever.

Yep, still do. I bought a used one on a gamble that's in the same shape as mine. Any leads are appreciated!
