Eifel Race Results:

So... Jim crashes 2 laps before the end of the race and I STILL didn't beat him (kidding) He finished 10th, I was 13th and Mr. Kelly was 15th (2nd in class).

For whatever reason ... In the Eifel race I finished 2nd in class with a 79 930 turbo doing 1:20s in the same class ... Interesting ....

Cunningham Race Results

Hank Whisker / Dave Coleman got me by one position in Hank's 1953 XK12. Wasn't on my radar at the end b/c of brake problems I had but I did get 1st in class and ... there is always next year!!

Eifel Enduro Race Results

Mr Kelly's results. At this point I was "visiting" hospitals in NOVA. Good race Tony, looks like P1 - P4 in your class were close.

Great racing without the "atttack of the Cicadas" but with the "attack of the exploding sump"

Yes, Jim is OK. Has a broken rib from getting thrown into his harnesses and coming "back" into the seat on a "rib protector" (irony abounds). Looking into different seats for the cars, HANS devices w/ helmets, etc..

The Team SSPI wheels are spinning while the IROC is getting patched up. Might be some car shuffling over the summer as a "friend" of ours is looking to get out of racing and has a HSR 3R or 3S car wants to get rid of. Of course ... there is always somebody "getting into" or "getting out of" racing so there are plenty of deals to be had.

Glad y'all didn't melt at SP over the weekend.

Thanks to the vagaries of 944Cup, I was 944SuperCup P1 in the Eifel Race and the Enduro.

In the race, Jason kept just out of reach as we worked our way through the field. That Scott 2.0L really rocks, and Jason's driving shows what years of racing experience will do. Smooth everywhere, and bloody quick!

In the Enduro, I loaded up on fuel for the 45 full 45 minutes - probably carried enough for an hour or more. Did not want to run out of gas! When the race was shortened to 30 minutes, the smart guys removed fuel. The two top 944Cup runners that I was able to pass in the earlier race got by me in the Enduro, and slowly drew further ahead.

Its great that we have such a top running race team in the club. Both Jason and his dad have a wealth of experience.
