Do you need a new convertible top for your early 986 Boxster?

The top and frame from my 1998 986 Boxster is for sale. The top is in excellent condition, my car had over 110k miles when I bought it so it I think is a replaced top.

The plastic window is busted from trying to lower the top in the dead of the winter - I had failed to read the manual when I did it. In one of the photos is the codes from the bottom middle of the window, that may indicate the age of the top and/or manufacturer.

Got a quote from Mr. Lim at Lim Upholstery in Chantilly (http://limsau.com/) to replace the plastic window for $580.00.

Anybody interested in the whole top and frame?

Given the condition of the top and the cost to replace the window it should be a combination that is cheaper than installing a new top on an existing frame.

The frame bolts on with two bolts, takes two people but is otherwise easy to install.
