Default Local Metric Hdw source

Is there a good source for metric hardware in the area, particullary around Rockville, Gaithersburg. I have been to Lowes, HomeD, Advanced Auto Parts and each has some.

not that i've found, you have to search all of the sources. Don W told me about cherrydale hardware in arlington; you can try fischers hardware in springfield; browns hardware in falls church; i faintly remember an ace hardware in tysons. recently, pep boys in annandale has discontinued carrying hardware as they kept getting ripped off. try all the local FLAPS, dealers (i got an exhaust stud at HBL tysons, it was a MB part ). auto atlanta used to sell a 12# package of genuine nuts and bolts! dan pectel in nj has the same idea on ebay now (or recently)

I'd definitely try Cherrydale Hdw in Arlington. I've found metric screws, even allen-head replacements for seat bolts there. They'll hunt it down for you too.

These guys have a ton of metric fasteners, as well as various tools: www.mdmetric.com/index.html. They are located in Owings Mills.

I use the following company for a lot of my metric hardware requirements:

http://www.mcmaster.com/

I can place my on-line order by 3 PM and it's at my door step the next day.

Bruce - now that you've moved South it might take a little longer considering their warehouse is no longer in your NJ backyard
