The fuel gauge on our boxster started acting up at the last autox. Over the weekend I was driving and the needle didn't seem to be moving. I added 7 or so gallons and it initially only moved up a quarter tank. After a few minutes of driving it went to full and hasn't moved despite driving almost 100 miles.
Any ideas on what's going on?

i was having similar, erratic readings on my fuel gauge, went on for years, couldn't be depended on. Finally replaced the fuel sender unit. Easy DIY, took maybe 10 minutes. Screwdriver only tool needed.
