Default Mileage limitation on classic car insurance?

Do companies like Grundy verify the annual mileage limit of whatever (3,000?), or is it on the honor system?

I don't have Grundy - but I've been asked occasionally to report my current mileage for a policy that has a mileage limit.

Just disconnect the odometer. Not really, but ...

We used to report each year. You could get exceptions for long trips. But now they don't have a limit. Of course I'm not much help because I can't even remember who our insurance company is and the wife isn't around to ask.

I use Hagerty. They've never asked for an odometer update. I believe my coverage is limited to 2500 miles/year...well, that's all I ever drive if I'm lucky.

I have Leland west and I don't recall them asking for odometer readings. When I got the policy they did ask how much I drive the car though but that's a pretty standard question.
