HAHA. Glad I'm not the only one. I had been hunting out in Great Falls 'til the land owner decided to sell.

The large landowner behind us already has a hunter, but will pass the word.

VA should open a new season: before Firearms, Muzzleloading, and Archery seasons there will be Pipe Wrench season, when you can take as many anterless deer as you wish by walking up to them and smacking them over the head (iron wrenches only, minimum length 14").

When is bike season? I almost took a fawn out on a ride in to work. Put us both on the ground. The young deer got up first but I out cussed him.

Coming home from Mihnea's around 4am the other night, kind of tired, and I come up the on ramp to 66 east from the inner loop where it is 4 lanes wide before the ramp ends and the left lane disappears. See something vague on the distance and lift a little and try to focus. Walking 300 yards ahead of me moving left to right and almost across the highway but directly in front of me is a very large deer. I move left and flash my high beams to get it to clear out. Bastard turns around and starts ambling back to the left. I stop the car in the middle of 66 (no traffic in sight at that time) and wait him out. On the right side of the road is nothing except 20 foot tall sound barriers. No grass, no ass, just tarmac. WTF? Not tired at all now I tip-toe home just fine.

Isn't there some scientific use for these vermin? Deer Matrix? Put them on treadmills to create energy? Solyent Green?

Ouch! Glad you're OK. I've seen way to many deer on the bike trails this year. Many sitings on the W&OD

Supposedly they "stare at you in headlights" apparently best to blast them on a horn, unless you happen to be carrying!!

I believe the best use for these vermin is often referred to as "FOOD."
