The car is street legal! You probably wouldn’t want to drive it to the track, but you could (and I have), and it’s very handy to take it to a shop or tech inspection without having to load and unload on your trailer The Bad: I never got around to replacing the plastic piece that goes from the fan shroud to the heater fan (but the heater fan is removed). I swore I’d do it the next time the engine was out, but it wasn’t out again. It is missing the original fuel overflow tank in the driver's side wheel well - ghetto replacement installed and works well. I honestly don’t know anything else bad about this car. Those that have followed Dorkiphus for 5 years or more have probably seen the build thread for this car. I bought it as a wrecked body, no engine, transmission, interior, and missing most of the suspension. Spent a day with Kiefer and his friends including removing the sunroof, alarm, glass, etc. Had it professionally straightened at Chuck’s Frame in Richmond, then roll cage installed by Piper, then back to Richmond for a very nice sealing where the sunroof used to be and an okay paint job. Then for the next 9 months built the race car. A year later swapped out the engine from my old Targa for the Peter Dawe engine (for those that aren’t aware, Peter Dawe used to be an engine builder at Andial, now has a shop in northeastern PA). I’ve raced this car for 5 race seasons, never more than 4 races and usually fewer, plus some DE’s. It’s a great car, but I’m not a great racer, and I’m now racing Miatas. Co-drove with Dwayne Moses at VIR and we won the race (in part thanks to Evan’s stop watch), proving how fast the car is – it now has 20 more HP than it did then! Peter,
This is the 915, right? How different is that from a G50? This was pretty fast when I rode along at WG in June. (Thanks, Peter!)

It's a 915 (in 1987 they change to G50). G50 is smoother shifting when fresh, 915 is far easier to rebuild.
I've done 1:26 flat on RA-1s around Summit Point Main. Hasn't been driven by a real drover at Summit (sorry, Trak Ratt and Ben). Photos Added Above
