Default It was the pipes!

Sam,
It was me in the Black Euro Carrera. I'm running a B&B single in dual out with a Fabspeed cat pipe. When I bought the muffler on E-bay the exhaust didn't look that big in the picture. Boy was I surprised when the box showed up. Your Carrera is in really great shape. Love the GR. My last car was an '83 sc in GR as well. Hides the dirt way better than black. Hope to meet at the next event.

Ted:

I had to call my wife and tell her about the 911 I just HEARD...very nice. BTW, what is the size of your front Fuchs? 7j's?

What's the butt dyno tell you? What about emissions?

Thanks for your comments. I just added the front and rear spoiler. Got the rear used (tail and attached decklid) from Einmaling in Hayward, CA. Okay price, but they did a great job picking one out. Still have to drop the car about 25mm or so...feels like I am driving the Discovery. Next is the dual muffs and a chip and it will pretty much be done...( okay okay, except for Big Red updgrade, TB's, bushings, shocks...)

Default 7's in the front

Sam,
Yes, they're 7's in the front. I picked up a set of 7"s and 9's with new Toyo RA-1s from a local guy. The butt dyno went off the scale Actually I had the car dynoed at Curry's. (check the gallery) It came out to 203hp at the wheels. As far as emissions goes, I have a separate full exhaust system I bolt on for the test. 8) Taylor Chapman over at ASG did my suspension. It is below Euro ride height. I told him to lower it until it rubbed and then bring it up a smidge. The symtoms you are having regarding your upgrade plans are known as Leschanderitis, a chronic "while your in there" disease. I you're looking for a B&B single in dual out muffler, Tweeks has the best prices. Last I checked, $699 will buy you any configuration of "single in" you want.

I just got new tires so I suppose I will have to wear those out first before going for 7's and 9's. I have to keep my cat since I just don't have the room to store a entire system for emissions checks.

I may have to contact Taylor...does ASG have Saturday hours? I 'll call them. Thanks for the reference. My wife is going to hate how low this car is going to be...I am going to freakin love it.

I have a Tweeks cataloge but rarely order from them since they are more expensive than Pelican.

As for LeSchanderitis...I am in therapy...

...it's not working...

Default man car

My wife refuses to drive my car. "It's too loud, it's too rough, it's too low, it's too hard to shift". I'm under the impression it's just right!
