Has anybody here successfully installed and used a Kirk Racing Weld-in roll cage for SCCA and/or BMWCCA club racing? My understanding is that a custom cage by a reputable cage builder is always the best way to go, but I'm exploring all of my options. The cage would be for an e36 M3. CR legality is critical. I'm assuming proper installation is just as important as the cage itself, so I would have somebody reputable complete the installation. The product description does say NASA/SCCA/BMWCCA-approved, but GCRs change, the description could be outdated, kirkracing.com doesn't clarify, etc.

No specific knowledge of the roll cage and meeting requirements, but I did have a Kirk Racing roll bar in my RX-7 many years ago...the quality was quite good (good welds, etc.).

Kirk is very reputable and makes quality cages. I'd contact them directly regarding your inquiry and they may even have a preferred or recommended installer in the area who has experience regarding installation of their kits.

So if it doesn't come in green then you don't buy it?

Good thing Scotch isn't green or there wouldn't be any left for the rest of us!
