Default Metal box in 3.2 rear driver fender

Probably a very simple question - what is the tall thin metal box mounted on the inside of the driver side wheel well just in front of the wheel. Has two hard lines going to it. Thanks

Driver's side? Nothing that I can think off of the top of my head. Charcoal canister is in the passenger's side rear fender up above the thermostat. You car is a euro, so this may be a canister from some after-the-fact Federalization. Can you post a picture?

AC dryer is in front wheel well and is behind wheel. I'm with Jazz on this one. Though I guess it could be an aftermarket AC dryer I wouldn't describe it as a "box" Pics help a lot...

Its almost completely gone and I forgot to take a pick when it was jacked up. Looks like it was about 14x2x2" - about the size of a large a/c drier, but squared off instead of round. It was mounted on a factory bracket integrated into the fender well. The one hardline goes down into it, but looks almost more like a large probe as it is sealed and flattened at the end.

The lines run from all the way back by the tail light, and have not tracked them to their source yet. They look like they would be either oil or a/c, but can't tell.

I should also add its a euro car in case that may make a difference.

You need to post pics as I think we're all curious as hell on this one!

Being a Euro car, it was probably imported during the grey market years, and thus it could easily be something that was placed/rigged for Federalization..

Some type of charcoal canister or fuel catch container...
