We haven't heard much from him in a few days. Do you suppose he's driving back from Miami?

Knowing him, my guess would be that he is flying low if he is on the road

Rick's been repeatedly saying that he doesn't want to get into upgrades if he buys a 993. I think he's making a big mistake...he's gotta buy a Valentine 1, right away.

Guys, I just bought a flight to Miami for 5/24. I had planned to go get her this past Sat., but the car's a/c died on Thurs. I offered the seller $2k less than his just lowered asking price to buy the car on Sat. and just let me worry about the a/c problem. Since he had just dropped $1000 on a/c service, he figured it was warranty work and took his chances. Car is still in the shop and yes, it's gonna be just north of $1900 to replace the evaporator. Seller is unemployed and now he can't even show the car because it's in the shop. He said he'll hold it for me and I'll be going to get her on Mem. Day weekend. It's an immacuate '95 C2 with 28k pampered miles on her. Since I have a 900 mile drive back home, it looks like I'll be throwing a DIY 30k mile service party sometime this summer. Same color scheme as Jim's car, but you won't mix us up - my 993 will see 6500 rpms every single time I drive her. I have made a blood oath to keep it stock for at least 3 mos., during which time I'll prioritize my planned mods. So far I plan on 18" wheels as soon as current tires are worn out, B&B exhaust, chip and way down the road I'll do something like Big Reds or swap the stock calipers out for aluminum-colored ones. And when it comes time, I'll be going with a lightened flywheel and RS clutch kit. Did I mention I'm dating a rich doctor now too, who will help support this addiction of mine?
