Default 1978 SC Targa in Kensington, MD

Drove by Cherner yesterday and saw this SC out front...forget the "3 cyl V6" nonsense in the description, it's an interesting color combo and look at those non-Fuchs wheels. Even has original radio. Crank windows, too.

Not sure I buy the mileage, though. That's a replacement speedo. No affiliation, it's just different enough from the regular crop of SCs that it caught my eye.

The asking price is way too much...

I think so too, but it seems pretty much in line with other cars these days. The air cooled 911 market seems overheated right now.

Agree that one is pricey, my brother's an indy dealer and has a nice one for a lot less: http://offisland4x4.com/1978-porsche-911-targa/

Stopped off yesterday to take a walk-around when the dealership was closed. It's parked out front and locked. Needs new windshield rubber and the front is full of rock chips. Small surface tear at leading edge of targa top.

Saw no rust, but I didn't look in the wheel wells or anything like that. Interior is fantastic. Looks like it has the original radio and upholstery looks new.

Still think the price is too high, but it's a pretty car w/unusual color combo and wheels you rarely see.

But you rarely see them on a 911!

saw it today. not impressed. the paint is poor with some drips/sags on the hood, many chips/digs and ripples. Some of the body panels show some rust. Rough looking car for the price. Its a high teens car. The mileage means nothing without adequate history.
