Default Cleaning Supplies

Hi,
I'm new to the area, and looking for a good place to stock up on some cleaning supplies. Any suggestions for a place with good selection/prices on Zymol and P-21, and similar items? Also looking for Raggtopp or similar product for cleaning my top.

Thanks,
TD

Tony,

Richard lives out in Alexandria so hae may have some secret places we don't know about. The local Trak Auto's in the area have been bought out by Advance Auto, they are all over the place. There is one in Bailys Crossroads (Rt. 7) and another in Arlington off Lee Highway. They have most of the cleaning supplys you're looking for. They don't carry my favorite grime cutter, Castrol Super Clean , so I have to pick it up whenever I see it elsewhere. Of course, the Home Depot or Lowes for the very generic cleaning supplys, hoses, pails, brushes, sponges, etc.

Thanks Charlie. I looked at some of the online places, but the shipping cost was a killer!

Believe or or not, Costco has Zymol and a bunch of other stuff.

You have to be careful with some of the Zymol brands that can be purchased at Costco, Auto Zone, etc. I have been told that there is the real Zymol waxes, and then a lower quality line that is sold under the name Zymol but is produced by Turtle Wax and is basically the same as many other waxes on the market for twice the price.

If you can afford enough supplies.. Larry at carcareonline.com with cover shipping. I think if you order $75 worth, its free. I usually do this a couple of times a year and get the large container of wheel cleaner, detail spray, rubber treatment, etc. He is very quick to take care of the order too. I usually get the material in two or three days. I can't recommend him too highly, great guy. Met him several years ago at the old P3 winter PCA gatherings. He's usually at Hershey too.

Default My Business

Hi everybody,

Great information (as usual). I didn't know about the free shipping at carcareonline, or I'd already have my stuff in hand.

Thanks again. Looking forward to shining my ride up for the first spring NoVA drive.

I was also following the thread, and just placed my order with CarCareOnline Thursday. I was hoping to get the stuff by this afternoon to use cleaning my car after the day out driving, but I cut it too close, so it'll probably get here on Monday or Tuesday.

Their site is terrific. They have lots of tech articles on car and paint care that're worth its weight in gold. For example, I've been using Dawn dishwashing liquid to wash my cars for years, but didn't know it stipped wax from the finish. What an idiot....
