Default oil tank conversion

I am converting my '78 930 to a twin turbo, and will be installing a C2 oil tank to free up more space in the wheelwell. Has anybody done this before, or can anyone point me in the direction of a resource that shows the stock C2 oil line layout? I also need more information on the oil filler neck for the C2, since my stock oil tank has an integral filler. Anybody have a C2 oil console for sale, or know where I can get one?
thanks
Rick '78 Petrol Blue 930

Hi Rick
sounds like you are going to have some serious HP when you are done. I suggest you check with Stephen Kaspar at Imagine Auto www.imagineauto.com He's been a great help to me over the last 3 years of my turbo ownership. Practically walked be through the engine tear down. Anyway he's done several twin turbo conversions and a 3.6 tt into a 79. He's known as PorschePhd@imagineauto.com Tell him John from VA recommended him. Good luck and hopefully we'll see you around this summer with the other turbo guys.

Stephen and I are already talking. My car will be based on the Monster setup, although I am not looking to build more than 500hp ultimately. I will be doing this in two stages. Stage one will be the twin turbo exhaust with twin 996 intercoolers, using my '78 CIS. Stage two will be 98mm pistons with the Carrera FI,twin plug heads with TECIII engine management. Right now I am running a K27 with B&B, twin 4"outlet exhaust. I probably won't start stage one until early summer, so you will most likely see me at one of the events. I will most likely drive up to Hershey. As soon as this weather breaks, I am on the road again.

Rick - good luck with the project but you realize with that kind of power you are going to have to give us at least an hour start on any of the NoVa Fun Runs!

Dam and I was just getting used to the 3.2 . . . looks like I'll need a 3.8 RSR motor now.

Rick: Can't wait to see which 11" wheels you choose for that project

I am not sure that I will have any money left for tires, after this is all said and done. Actually, I am just looking forward to getting the car out of my driveway after the arctic circle thaws. I have most of the parts for phase one now, but will probably wait until later this summer to start. I know that the minute I start tearing things apart, I will get the"while I am at it bug" and the project will drag on. I look forward to meeting other members of this board in the near future (hopefully behind the wheel), and am always eager to talk and offer advice about these cars. Who is going to Hershey?
