New splitter. Options for the 951 splitter/undertray are not very expansive, so here's another one.
Turns out the lip from the 996 Turbo/Carerra S fits a 951 with minimal modification. And thanks to the Chinese, replacement lips are available for $60. A bit of forming with a heat gun is necessary, at which point you'll need to cut off the "legs". The downside of this lip is that it is not an undertray as well. So, I bought some FRP board (was hoping to find ABS but unfortunately was more expensive than I wanted to devote on the trial run) and made a splitter out of it. It sits LOW, about 3" off the ground. For that reason I had to be conservative with how far forward my splitter juts out. I'm thinking of drilling another set of holes 1.5" further back for "track mode", to have the splitter jut forward a bit more for track duty. The best part? Cost me about $105 total, including the cost of speed nuts.

Oh, I may or may not have lost my previous splitter in T14 at VIR from an agricultural excursion, and upon coming back on track the splitter fell off. Unfortunately the screws sticking up gave some poor schmuck two flat tires.
Speaking of that guy, I tried about 15 times to speak with him to give him some $$$ towards the new set of tires but every time he wasn't available. Hopefully I'll see him at SPM in Oct.

So where did you get the splitter to start with? It looks great. More pictures of the process?

Sorry, just saw this.
Here are a few more pictures. Ideally I would have made the splitter out of ABS: it's got terrific strength-to-toughness, it's black, and it's lightweight. Unfortunately the stuff can get expensive and I couldn't find a local source. So I bought some 0.1" FRP board and bonded two layers together to make a ~0.25" thick splitter. Cut the rough splitter shape out with a jigsaw and then shaped with a dremel. Primed and painted with rattle can paint. Good 'nuff. I can also say that it's been OK on the street: I drove the car all over MD and VA over the weekend and it's not really been an issue. Do take care on gravel roads though... Fitting the new lip. Make sure to have a heat gun. Held it in place with clamps. Note the "legs" at the end; you'll need to cut them off. Test fitting the lip before fine cutting and painting Paint. Can see the old splitter, against which I based the new one's shape, in the background.
