Default Addition to the stable

Was not planning on buying another 944 anytime soon but this one was too good to pass up. Two owner 1984 944 NA with 38K original miles. Garage kept it's whole life. Literally like a new car.

Nice find and congrats. Give us a close up shot of the front splitter. My son has been looking for one of those for his car.

Wow, that's a nice one! I think I would have grabbed it too, despite having no place to put it. Congrats!

Thanks. Truth be told the car found me. I received an email a few weeks back from a friend who told me about this car and it's story...It was owned by a fellow up in PA who bought the car used in 1991 with 10K miles. He rarely drove the car and kept it in great shape; the car was his pride and joy. After a battle with Parkinson's the owner sadly passed and left the vehicle to his step-son. The step-son was extremely close with his step-father and knew how much the car meant to him but didn't have the space or need for another car and wanted to sell to someone who would appreciate and care for the car as much as his step-father did.

My friend (mutaul friends with the step-son) knows I'm a Porsche nut and asked if I'd be interested in buying the car. I said that I was probably not going to purchase as I already have too many cars as it is but that I would take a look, let him know what he had, and at a minimum help find the car a good home.

Anyways, when I finally linked up with the step-son and saw the car I couldn't believe it. The car was stunning (and I don't even like gold). Everything was uber original to include the radio, which works!

I spent a good while talking with the step-son hearing stories about the car and his step-father who sounds like a guy we would have all enjoyed to be around. I told him about the things to look for on the 944 and gave him an idea of what he had. That being said he was ready to part with the car and wanted it to go to someone who would make a good home for the car vice simply sell. After some consideration I decided that I couldn't let this car go. It was just too nice and something that I might keep for a very long time so I pulled the trigger.

Took these in the garage with poor light and on my phone...if you need better quality let me know and I'll break out the camera and get the car outside when the weather is better.
