Default 928 will not idle and stalls

My 1979 928 will not idle and stalls after start up. I can keep it running at 2000 RPM's. Any suggestions?

A 1979 928 has k-jetronic aka CIS. Maybe the SC CIS experts can help out.

I had a similar problem on a 1987 Merkur XR4Ti and the Vane Air Meter (VAM) was bad. I think the 928 has a VAM too...

No VAM.

It is K-jet CIS, no lambda. APpears to be a Euro, too.

Auxiliary Air Valve may be out of service.

Or, if it has been parked for some time, you may have some precipitant caught in the screens in any one of a number of places in the fuel system. Most likely culprits are under the fittings in the Warm Up Regulator, and at the fuel input to the Fuel Distributor (FD) on the lower right. System fuel pressure regulator in the FD might be stuck too, but that is uncommon in my experience.

Hope you post up the resolution if it is solved.
