A few what?

Good timing, I was listening to this very album earlier tonight. I see he still has the same stage act. I saw him in the 70s at Cap center. He stood there and played. This was when the other guys in the other bands were jumping off speakers and running around falling off the stage.

Jeff Beck is not to shabby ether.

X2 I've played Day of the eagle more than a few times and often at very high volume.

Anyone listen to Tommy Bolin?

B of S and Robin T still rank on my playlist, as does Jeff Beck [get Live at Ronnie Scotts if you haven't already].

These guys are gods. It was ground breaking stuff back then, and even better now. Their recent recordings are sometimes better than the originals simply because the gear and the recording technology have improved so much.

On a good system, those early analog records are magical and sound better than the recent ones--the clicks and pops just seem to melt away because the music is so good. The problem is that those "good" analog systems use tubes, and the really great tubes are harder and harder to come by -- but I've seen some interesting equipment on Dorkiphus (I believe the thread is called "and you think our hobby is expensive" or something like that).

Decware tube amp, technics record player, creek phono stage, old klipsch heresy II speakers...thought it was an expensive hobby until I decided that I needed a P-car.
