Default 2010 PCA Potomac Club Race - SP

registration is now on line. I HATE change and I HATE computers. I admit to being primitive and resist as much as I can. When they asked for my Birth-date I thought this is getting personal. Notice to volunteer readers of the information. Look at the date and say to yourself "this can't be right" and you will be correct, but that is ALL you are going to get. It would have been better if they had asked for the combination to the lock on my girlfriends chastity belt!

I couldn't find where I was supposed to put my shirt size down nor where I was supposed to tell you I want CASH for lodging!

I think you accidentally posted this on Dorkiphus instead of PCAP's web site...

Isn't this the REAL PCA interest web site as opposed to the official web site.

The volunteer registration system is cumbersome, but it is really designed for racer registration. The conversion to volunteer registration use accounts for some of the difficulty. As OldTee discovered, the system can't tell if you are lying about your birthdate, so make something up. It is pertinent only to the racer eligibility. All volunteers who register will be reimbursed for lodging or gas, but not both. Thanks for your patience with this system. It is very time consuming to manually enter 75 volunteers and 100 racers info into a database. How many other Dorki's are helping out with the races in October?

I am and I have registered. For just a few seconds there, it made me feel like a racer, too.

Signed up for the sprints. Would like to co-drive with someone for the enduro (just don't expect to win...).

Peter,
Unless you're genuinely concerned about fatigue, you should consider doing the 90 minute enduro yourself. The weather in October should not be a major factor. And the 5 minute break helps wonders. Its a good exercise for pacing yourself. Having an in-car lap timer is also very useful for monitoring your pace.
