Default Best gasoline to run on stock 911 3.0L 79

Hi finally getting the registration tomorrow!

After one year and four months i'm going to take the car on the road for a serious drive and i was curious, what fuel do you guys recommend to use.

the only modification is the catalytic by-pass.

Can wait to fill up the tank

Thank you

See you guys out there maybe, the car is in Arlington behind the costco.

Run high test for a while (couple tanks) then down one grade. Try and find the some non sumer stuff too. If you hear any detonation go back to high test.

<O</OYour avatar looks like “Julie” from the Pelican forums? Seems kind of creepy to use another man’s wife and car as your avatar. One that’s not “in the bis” anyway. If not her or you know her then that’s different.

Hate to disagree entirely with Dr. Trak Ratt, but here goes.

One tank of high test, agree with that one.

After that, regular is fine. Your engine is 8.0 or less compression ratio. At the track go high test.

Hint: turn the fuel nozzel upside down, ie pointed away from you. Some 911s don't feed well the other way and it takes forever to load up.

Re: Avitar, Use the one Trak uses. He does and he does not have the equipment!

93=high test. 87 should be avoided. 89 and 91 work just fine in my 2.7, but I always tend to put 93 in for that extra $1.50 of clean burning safety margin.

I'm under 70! Way under. ...but I haven't called it hi-test for about 20 years.
