Default Help quick

My car stalled out on side of road. Think it is a fuel pump issue. Used to hear when ignition on. Now I don't here it. Swapped relay. No luck. Had a wire a jumped 87a to 30 and heard it. Any ideas?

Bad fuse shouldn't allow it to start and then stall, should it? I can't believe we haven't heard the results from adding gas yet...

What kind of car? Year, make model? Help us help you. Troubleshooting issues with a Carrera is different than an SC.

I went through a similar situation with my SC. After confirming the fuel pump, relay and wiring/fuses I replaced the electrical portion of the ignition switch. Confirm the simple/basis stuff first.

Just got a ride home. 76 911s with a 3.0. Car was running fine. Got to intersection and car stalled out. Started again for a few seconds and then stalled out again. Now won't fire. Fuel pump is working. Says it has a 1/3 tank and that should be consistent with the fuel I added.

"Says it has a 1/3 tank and that should be consistent with the fuel I added."

If that fuel was not added after it stalled, you could have a bad fuel sender that sticks at 1/3 full.

Good luck getting her started again.

Mark and Dr. K win! There are many expletives that have been said over the past hour. I added 2 gallons of fresh gas and car started. Tank still reads 1/3 full. Anyways, thanks to all that responded. Nothing like being stuck on the side of the road. I didn't exactly break down in an area that I would want to leave the car for more than a few hours. (Bill you know the area - Grasonville Cemetery Road).
