Default WTB Super Clean SC/Carrera

Guys,
Have been looking for an SC/Carrera for some time with no luck. I'm looking for a good to excellent condition SC/Carrera. Any color (would prefer something other than red). Coupe only.

I will pay top dollar for the right car.

you might explain a little about what the right car might be (miles, no chips on the front, no door dings, etc). we all have different view points on what excellent is...

Did you ever find a 964?? Sounds kid-of-like you are looking brokering for someone else? Which is prolly ok but might want to mention that...

Default More details...

Good point...

-No more than 100K miles unless the engine has been rebuilt
-Good paint. Usual front end chips OK. Respray OK as long as its original color and good quality
-No accidents
-No rust
-Good documentation
-SC must have the tensioners and pop-off mods
-Performance oriented mods are OK as long as they don't substantially alter the look of the car (no huge wings, splitters, aftermarket turbo flares, superchargers, etc...)
-Original looking interior (no race seats, RS door panels, cages, etc...)
-I'm think pricing range of 15K to mid 20's for a great G50
-Car will be used for pleasure driving only. I don't plan to track.

Beyond that, it's a little difficult to provide details. I guess its a case of "I'll know it when I see it"

Wow... good memory.

No, I never found the 964 and basically gave up. I keep hearing about all these great examples selling for peanuts, but strangely I could never find one myself. I figured I could take the money spent on a passable 964 and buy a very nice SC/Carrera.

If anyone has a 964 for sale, I would still be interested.

BTW, I am NOT a broker. I am searching for my personal toy.

I have a 1988 Carrera which meets all of your qualifications EXCEPT it is a Guards Red Targa. Just turned 80,000 miles, local NVA car, all records, 3d owner and maintained by Robert Lynch at Stuttgart Service in Williamsburg.

A nice Carrera usually sells for closer to $40k. That's the current market price. Here's you go: http://autosportdesigns.com/Sales/Sa...s.aspx?ID=1763

BTW I might be convinced to sell you mine for around $35k. It's below market, I know; consider it a Dorki discount. I accept cash or check.

We'll change your mind soon enough on that.

Sorry to disagree, but no one is paying $35 to $40K for a nice Carrera these days. Just because one online listing at $38.5k is marked sold doesn't mean that is what it actually sold for. You can get a used 997 in the $40s.
