Default BMW e30 dd/hpde/potential spec car

Here is the previous owners ad:
I bought this car three years ago after deciding that I needed a dedicated track car. I was living in AZ at the time, and purchased a nicely cared-for CA car with 188K miles. Compression test after purchase showed very good compression and an oil analysis showed a very healthy engine. Over the next year and a half, I tore the car down, replaced all the rubber stuff, did all the basic preventative maintenance and got it track ready. Drove one track day and learned I'd be moving to the east coast. One year later, here I am. I love the car - it's exactly what I want, but I just can't use it like I want to out here - I need an all-weather, dual-purpose vehicle that I can register and drive on the street. So, unfortunately, the little devil has to go.

General information:

* 1989 325i w/ ~190K miles
* Body/chassis is STRAIGHT - measured via laser collision machine at Elite Autobody in Tempe, AZ before the build-up began.
* Body is completely, totally rust-free. It's a CA/AZ car and has never seen snow, rain, etc.
* Engine is strong - never had a problem starting/runs strong
* Trans is strong as well - shift smooth, stays in gear, no issues
* Body shows some wear - the hood and RF fender are DOT-R (reason for measuring the body). Pass. fender has a large indentation and could be replaced.
* Sunroof and cartridge have been removed. Steel panel riveted and sealed into place
* Interior removed

Suspension:

* Suspension was completely removed and rebuilt. All components have less than 2K miles on them.
* Bilstein Sport Struts (SpecE30 model)
* H&R Sport Springs
* Ground Control Spec E30 Camber/caster plates
* Rear subframe replaced with a powdercoated unit
* IE weld-on rear alignment kit for both toe and camber
* IE rear subframe bushings (green)
* Powerflex rear trailing arm bushings
* Ground control rear upper mounts
* Front control arms replaced
* Tie rods replaced
* Front wheel bearings replaced
* E30 M3 offset control arm bushings
* Voschlag stud kit w/ BBS wheel nuts on the rear wheels

Wheels/Tires:

* Rota 15x8 ET20 slip streams w/ Advan AO32
* Spare Toyo RA1 takeoffs (lots of good meat left)
* 15" Kumho V710 (I think) with good tread left
* 14" bottlecap wheels with no-name tires
* 14" Falken Azenis 215 w/ good tread left

Braking:

* SS brake lines
* Replaced F/R rotors (under 2K miles)
* New "street" pads
* Front "race" Pagid pads
* ATE SuperBlue fluid

Engine:

* Stock. Runs strong.
* Radiator/upper and lower hoses replaced
* Alternator and battery replaced

Interior:

* Clean, crack-free dash (see pics)
* MOMO Mod 78 Suede wheel/hub
* NRG quick release
* Corbeau FX1 and FX1 Pro seats
* Massive seat mounts

As for me:
I have had it 5 months or so. It is fun. The problem is that my girlfriend lives in the VA beach area, and I have been going back and forth every other week or so. This car is not so good for several hours on the highway - kind of hurts the posterior after a while. I started taking the sound deadening out, but I haven't finished - it really comes out fairly easily with a putty knife. I reinstalled the emergency brake parts as I had to have that to pass inspection. I also hooked up the horn. The speedo wasn't working, so I swapped the cluster out for one that did. It runs and handles great - especially with the wider wheels on it. It isn't the prettiest car, but that didn't bother me since I knew it was a track car. There is a dent in both front fenders and the front valance is a bit bent. Used parts are cheap and plentiful. You can get a good set of fenders for less than $100 - just wasn't a priority for me. There is a panel pop riveted in to where the sunroof used to be - not pretty but it saves about 40 lbs. I took it to the landfill and had it weighed. It came in at about 2350 lbs with half a tank of gas or so. Obviously being from AZ it has no rust anywhere. That is all I can think of for now. Bottom line is that is a very nice running and handling car but you will have to drive it to understand where all the money went. Oh yeah it does come with some parts - extra oil cooler, B and M short shift kit, extra radiator, trans and engine mounts, braided brake lines, poly shock bushings, spare trunk lid, etc...

I do have some more pics if you are interested.

$4000
Thanks,

Allan
