Default ISO 944 steering rack bushings.

Have them or any ideas where to get them (I'd order online but I hate paying $8 shipping for $20 in parts!).

You can get them from the Porsche dealer. And with the Porsche dealer you save the shipping. Parts $30, shipping $0. Gas $10.

Ha! I can actually walk to a Porsche dealer from my office! I won't, but I could. (I walked between my office and Intersport twice yesterday.)

I remember those days. I had an office at 1420 Spring Hill Road. I'd walk over to InterSport a few times a week and tell my secretary that I was going to "visit my money".

I did my steering rack bushings last night, and while it was rewarding to tackle a new task, I don't think I solved anything. On Tuesday, after doing a track alignment Charlie at Intersport noticed that the car will take a "set" and pull a bit left, and will then take a "set" and pull a bit right. He suspected that the rack was moving (the rest of the system is tight).

The OEM bushings are $20 from HBL so I replaced them (wishing for a ballar garage with a lift). The old bushings were dirty and oily, but not visibly deformed. I'm trying to convince myself that it's better but it's basically the same. What else could be to blame? I know my upper strut mount mount bearings. Maybe that?
