It's on!

We will be meeting at the Starbucks on May 17th, 10am at the corner of Rockville Pike and Old Georgetown Rd next to the Silver Diner and in front of the Toys R Us. (12091 ROCKVILLE PIKE)

We usually meet and chat in the parking lot from 10-11:15 or so, then take a spirited 45 min-1 hr drive to a lunch spot somewhere in the area ("Roy's Place" Restaurant in Gaithersburg, MD). You can show up for the "Meet" only, or do the "Meet and Drive" and not the lunch, or do all 3.

Here's another destination option with more fun then overstuffed sandwiches

I'll be hanging out there all day long with some fancy cars, lots of drinks, and tons of food. Bring a picnic basket, wine, booze, and/or beer. Plus it's for a good cause in a great environment. All held on Kiplinger's farm at the corner of River and Partnership.

Need not be a horse person to enjoy.

They look down on water-cooled much less BMWs... I'll be passing on this, Roy's Place has gone down the tubes. Last time I was there my feet were sticking to the floor, YUK... Plus doing a run from Rockville to Gaithersburg going from traffic light to traffic light is not my idea of fun Too many speed cameras, too...

There is a petition to repeal the new Maryland speed camera law that everyone at the gathering needs to sign. I'm not a registered voter so can't collect signatures. Anyone up for this? Here is the link. Download where it directs you.
