Default Anyone know Trivinci Systems?

Local maker of video & data acquisition has an opening that looks interesting, before I send a cold resume I'm wondering if anyone here is acquainted with them?

Looks like a lot of overlap with trackvision and other video & data acquisition products, with some interesting marketing tie-ins to driving schools and amusement parks.

Dear Ed,

I know these guys quite well. To date, they have yet to develop a retail version of their product, though they have a version at use at some race schools. They burned a roller coaster down to the ground at PKD, and are no longer doing any business there. Several of their current race schools are looking elsewhere becuase they can not stand the current CEO. His botched leadership has lead them down a path of broken promises and a complex and expensive system.

And, they are being sued by several entities. EIT, a big mfgr in the area, has sued them and in fact the court date is in a few weeks, 9/15-9/16. I would avoid them, as they are bad news and may not see the light of day after they face numerous lawsuits.

Hey, Blue944,
How about an introduction. We generally use our first names, tell a little about our car(s) (and maybe ourselves). See this thread: http://www.dorkiphus.net/porsche/showthread.php?t=13610. It's been going 5-1/2 years and has just shy of 1000 posts, so feel free to add your own.

Welcome, Blue, and thanks. They do seem to have an interesting history. Drop a PM here if I can talk to you offline?

Ha! Sounds good. I'm off the trail based on other sources, combined with google fu and a lot of experience with startups, but would be interested to hear of your experiences.

I have no direct knowledge, but it is certainly an industry that is going to face constant technological evolution, and if you're not on the bleeding edge, you're going to be toast. Every year that goes by data acquisition systems are smaller, simpler, lighter, cheaper and more robust in data capture and analysis. It will probably boil down to one or two dominant vendors and the others will fall off.
