Arrow group pelican order

i need to order a small part and i've found it on pelican for the right price but the shipping cost of the item is 5 X the cost of the part. shipping is free for orders of $75 or more so i am either inviting people to add to my order to get to free shipping or asking anyone else placing an order if i can add my part(s). any interest?

OK. if you post part numbers, i'll place the order. of course, make sure on your numbers. i'll front the $ we can connect later. i will delay the order for a day or two in case someone wants to add on. for parts beyond the $ in my checkbook (barely in the black), i won't be able to cover.

Jim, shipping is only free on those items that they have highlighted as "this item qualifies free shipping". I found out about that last winter.

For all the troubles of getting the orders together, why not just go down to the dealer and pick the part up?.

I haven't had any luck with dealerships in this area. I tried the one on Glebe Road near Crystal City and waited at the counter for maybe 15 min. and there wasn't anyone there. The receptionist could see me waiting but made no attempt to call anyone. I didn't even look like my normal disreputable self; I was wearing a shirt and tie that day because the reason I was in the area was to meet with some national accounts people for a hotel chain.

I also tried to get some parts from the dealership in Tyson's, I think I needed a new trunk light or something like that, and the guy flat out told me that he didn't have the part in stock, and that I'd get it quicker and cheaper through Pelican - not in a mean way, but I got the distinct impression that they weren't interested in supporting "older cars" like my '88 (?!?!?!?!!!!)

Nate: last time I ordered one from Pelican, their part number was S-615-227-00 Fuel Pum/DME Relay, 911 Carrera 2/4 (1989-94). Cost was $20.25 but that was several years ago.

I'm not saying that all dealerships are around here are great. One in MD flat out lied to me. The other took a quick look at me and said, no way this kid has a Porsche and I sat for as long as I was willing to. However, the dealer you refer to here in VA, while their used cars are a bit on the high side (IMHO), the new Porsche people and parts people have been nothing buy nice and every time I stopped by they had the parts I needed, both for the 944 and the 911. The Porters always compliment me on the 911 (it goes there for VA Safety inspection) and did on the 944.
