Damm, $99K? There's lots of other things one could buy with that kind of dough.

Wow... $100k for a replica. Wow. Maybe it's just me, but 6 figure dough for something that looks like that better have the name "Ickx" or "Bell" or "Elford" painted on it by Stuttgart engineers. That said, my favorite part of the add was this:

Quote:
This is a rare opportunity to own an incredibly special car with a fantastic history for a fraction of it’s build price
then this:

Quote:
Well over $120,000 has been invested into this car in just the past couple of years
Selling price: $100k. Build price $120k. OK, I guess 5/6 is technically a fraction, but this really isn't the context that most people use here. Hell, 99/100 is a fraction, too, for that matter. So, despite the fact that I've spent well over $22k on my car, I've decided that I'll sell it to you for a fraction of that - $21k.

Like Ron Savenor's 964 Euro cup car with a fresh motor, tranny, LSD plus a 24' trailer, data acq, camera system, spares, all for . . . $99,000:

Yes <sniff> but that 964 cup car is no R Gruppe car, you know <sniff>.

The Type 3 Ghia isn't bad for 22k, though.

The only thing that excites me is the center-lock wheels. Everything else, well, it's nice, but not $99k nice.

Completely insane (and delusional) asking price. I wonder how he'll feel when it's on eBay and nobody cares ...

Bruce, you should buy the Cup Car. Start a collection.
