Default 996 on CL $28,000, 66K Miles

Again, no affiliation, but this looks like a great price for someone looking for a 996. 6-speed.

$28k for a 996? They're practically giving them away these days.

The price on these 99s makes them very interesting but I'm concerned about the first year of a new model and the horrors of grenading engines.

If you look close you'll see them in the low 20's, although this one looks clean and the price isnt bad at all.

By now, the early motors should have grenaded.. if they make it over 30-40K miles, they seem to be alreight. Same is true with Boxsters it seems.. Then again, you always hear from the guys with problems not the ones that are running fine.
