I have my A/C completely installed except for R-134 and the white wire with 8 inches of stripped tip that runs from the center console, through the firewall, into the smuggler's box.
Where exactly does this sensor wire go? |

Into the evaoprator, just slide it between 2 of the tubes in the middle of the evaporator. Be carefull not to puncture the core with it. If you do I can tell what your next posting will be.

There is a hole in the top of the evaporator, does it go in that hole or do I have to pop the top off the evaporator and sandwich the wire between the top and bottom.
Anyone have a picture? |

I honestly don't remember, when I yanked my ac, I didn't pay that much attention.

Henry,
The capillary tube (temp sensor wire) only needs to protrude into the top of the radiator portion of the evaporator about an inch or so. There should be a small brass tube that is flared at the top already sticking in the evaporator that the sensor goes in to. Be very careful not to bend the stripped portion of the sensor too much or it will crack and render the sensor useless.
