Default Radial Tire and HBL

A big thumbs up to Paul and Sam at Radial Tire in Silver Spring. I went in with a set of Pirelli PZero Asymetrico's that had 9,000 miles on them. Had a very bad shaking in the front end . Sam helped me and instead of trying to sell me tires, he made me get only a balance. Said that should take care of it after having inspected my tires. I thought "great" and was on my way. Well out on the freeway the shake had been reduced but not eliminated. I called Sam and ordered a set of Michelin PS2's. Thursday I had the tires put on, and Paul balanced them himself on the car. What a difference! Immediately everything smoothed out. No more shaking even in leadfoot land. Still I thought there was a little pull to the left. Called HBL and got an appointment for Friday morning and went in and the front was out of alignment, so had that taken care of. And the best part { besides the fact that the car now is perfect}, HBL only charges $149.95 for the 4 wheel alignment! An actual bargain in Porsche-land! Yee Haa!

Thumbs up

Just got home from Radial myself, 15 minutes ago.

Paul, Sam, and everyone else there is top notch at what they do and even more importantly in how they deliver customer service. That place is always a mad house, and for good reason.

I think I might go get an HBL (nee Porsche of Tysons) alignment myself... can't beat that price.

How much was the balance and was it a road force balance?

Paul has always been great and a big supporter of the marque. The 996 is scheduled for Tuesday morning at HBL for that bargain alignment as well. If going for a stock type alignment regular tire shops just dont have the equipment and/or experience to do these cars right and that price really is excellent.

Is HBL's price a special deal or is always half of what other places charge?

Not so grasshopper. Same price regardless of your numbers or stock numbers. The price varies some for harder to setup cars but most like you 996 are the same price all day everyday. did some one tell you otherwise? The guy that does the work is a track rat too.
