Default PCA Potomac Autox Event #1 - 4/22

First of all, I want to let everyone know that results are in the process of being finalized and published. Between some differences in the Timing&Score software (as updated over the winter) and changes relative to posting information on the PCA Potomac Founder's website, they're not up yet, but will be soon! Hopefully by tomorrow. I appreciate your patience.

In addition to the awesome weather, we had an extraordinary turnout - 53 drivers participated! Since 2005, this in only the second time we've exceeded 50! The course was a nice mix of tight and open sections, and I believe most everyone enjoyed the challenge.

I want to thank everyone that came out yesterday. We had a great crew of people come out early to help setup the course, and conduct registration and tech. Additionally, we had a signficanct number of Autocross School attendees come out and try their newly-learned skills at an official autocross. If our April event is any indication, 2007 will be a fun year for autocrossing!

The only downside (if you can call it that ) was that we ran longer than usual. To help people get back into autocrossing for 2007, we did give everyone 5 official runs. However, that took us till about 2:30, a bit later than our norm (and I apologize to the couple of participants that had to leave early). But we did manage to squeeze in some time at the end for brief fun run sessions.
As soon as results are posted, I'll let everyone know. In the meantime, I have been able to get my pics uploaded:

Thanks for kudos guys, but I'm a bit disappointed with the glare. I understimated the effects of the sun that day. I need to remember to use the polarizing filter on those really sunny days.

Tony, thanks for the great pics...I can see my rear shocks are softer than I thought. Great event with great people. The event may have ran long but it was a huge turnout and a long course so that can be expected. See everyone in a few weeks.

Until such time that we can resolve some uploading issues to the PCA Potomac website issues, I have figured out a way to post the results otherwise. (NOTE: Links updated 4/26):

Sometimes its not the car.. its the driver that matters

BTW Tony, not sure why, but you list me as driving a BLACK 2000 Boxster S. Hmm. That just can't be right. How about a YELLOW 2000 Boxster, Non-S

Also, the GT3 needs to be in P4 not P2.

Thanks for the headsup on corrections needed. I'll make the changes tonite, and try to get the posted results revised by tomorrow. The first event of the year is always the toughest......

If any other errors are found, please let me know asap. Thanks!
