Default Great experience at ASG

My car: 1980 911SC, 107K mi.
Me: pretty much a non-DIYer (brakes / oil changes)
Service: Install new Bilstein Sports, re-adjust ride height, re-align
Appointment date: 04/09

When I first purchased my new-to-me SC, the PO had thrown in 4 Bilstein Sports into the deal. I figured I'd throw them on for good measure. I had previously made an appointment with a shop that came highly recommended, but things didn't work out.

So, I spoke to a friend who recommended ASG. I've seen their name thrown out on several forums, so I thought I'd give them a call. I made an appointment, spoke to both Ed in Operations, as well as Taylor the Technician. All questions / concerns were answered and addressed, all work was performed, and they even suggested other repairs / upgrades in the future. No "sales pitches" thrown, although I ended up having additional "WYIT" work done (turbo tie rods, which were on my "to do" list anyways). The work was completed when said, and they even picked me up from the metro when my car was ready, since I work in the city and take public transportation during the week.

Today, I get a call from Taylor, not a CSR, as a "follow up" to see how the car was, and if I had any questions/concerns. Getting a follow up from the tech who worked on your car is huge for me - great customer service, IMO.

I think I'm done with any work done to the car for this year, but they'll see me again either in the winter or next spring - maybe even before then if the wife lets me. I just need to refresh the money jar.

Anyways, just thought I'd share with the Dorkis.

They're my guys as well, and have had great experiences with them! Taylor is probably the only person, aside from me, who works on my car!

He will never mention this, but Geoff is constantly being recruited by teams runnign Porsche in pro race series [Rolex, Gran Am]. He truly knows how to set up a Cup car.

I've been using ASG for 11 years. They did all of the work on my SC (5 years as a daily driver) and have done all the work on my 996.

When I moved to the area I visited all of the local shops. ASG was the last shop I visited. Taylor was the guy I talked to. 5 years and 3 Porsches later, I couldn't imagine taking my P-car to anyone else. I trust them with all of their advise and work. They are the best.
