Default S/SC/Carrera performance muffler

Coming off my '78. Its a Hooker muffler. Yup, I said Hooker. It is about 6-8" long and weighs next to nothing. You will want to modify how it attaches by putting a slight bend at the mounting flange as it currenlty is a straight out and it means that you have to cut part of your rear valence off. It is loud but not as much as you'd expect. I'm going to headers so I have no need.

Could be a good swap out for DEs as it will drop weight in a good place and can't help but increase Hp a little.

Not sure as to demand or original price, so, at the risk of pissing off Chris, I'm open to offers.

Don't worry, I'm not expecting much.

BTW, the heatexchangers appear fine and will be selling off the rest of the exhast (stock early SC) when its finally off the car.

Now that I found the website, maybe I'll use this as 1/2 the exhaust for the headers.

Mark,
You sure you didn't buy a motorcycle muffler by mistake?

Mark how loud is that thing? It won't work for my car as I currently have headers, but I wonder how loud it would be coming off my headers? I've got to figure out something soon as my muffler is on the way out. I had to modify a stock 2in/1out because the muffler wouldn't mount to the headers correctly and now my ghetto rigged welds are starting to fall apart.

Phase 9 silencer from coast fabrication is a favorite of racer's having to meet db limits at LRP and other tracks. Got ours through Dawe Motorsports I believe.

Pretty hardware to boot.

This was on the casr when I bought it. It is set up as a one in/ one out (as in a straight shot off the cat). It looks just like the on in the link except it has a 3 bolt flange attached that has a slight bend. Pookie, you'd need a second one to make it work off headers.

Yeah that's why I asked. I did the math $270 for two of those or what $500 or so for a 2 in2 out? My worry is since I had to modify the the 2 in/ 1 out that I have I'd have to modify others to fit. When I put on the other muffler the 2in mounts on the muffler were too close together so I had to cut one off and make it wider to fit the headers. With these I would have two separate pieces and not have to worry about the muffler being too narrow.

It would be less 'cause you wouldn't be paying $135 for one of them
