The guy that bought my old racecar in 1999 finally restored it, including redline goodyear polyglass tires. Fastest timeslip at 1/8 mile track was 7.40 back in 1983. Went like stink in a straight line and like a dump truck around corners.

Cool car! Is it 390 or 401 powered? Did you run at Manassas and Summer Duck? Looks kind of familiar. I ran a couple of bikes and a Mustang Mach I back in the day. Seems a shame that AMC finally got their act together just in time to wave goodbye as they went down the toilet! Kenosha Cadillacs!

401 powered. The 401 had forged crank and rods good for about 6-7k rpms with the internal oil line to number 8. My car also had forged pistons, ported heads, titanium retainers, lakewood scattershield, ram 6 finger metallic racing clutch. We estimated about 450 hp at the crank, but I could never get the car to hook up well due to tire size/choice limitations (not to mention body flex!). Mostly raced at Eldora Raceway in Fairmont WV.
