Default WTB: Late model NA 944

Looking for a late model (1986+) manual NA 944

- Preferably in black, guards red, or silver with black interior
- Looking for a clean, rust free body with minimal body work/paint needed
- Would also like an interior in decent shape (ie: crack-free dash, working gauges)
- Not a huge preference on milage, but something under 120K would be nice
- I'm in the DC area, but would travel for the right car

Please let me know of any additional detail I can/should provide.

Thanks,
Adan

Well, you started your search with a lot of choices and then you went and said "crack free dash" now I think you have narrowed your options to twenty something around the world !
Good luck with your search.

FWIW, if you end up in a pre-airbag car, there are some decent hard dashpads out there, that fit well, and cover up any cracks. I think Pelican sells a version.

As mentioned, quite a spread..

944 (2.5 and 2.7l)
944S
944S2 - Coupe or Cab
944 Turbo

Any reason not to include the 968?

Budget?

If you want features like ABS or Airbags, a 944S2/turbo would have those as would the 968.

I really enjoyed my 87 base with crack free dash but sold it about 6 years ago - before the market decided they should be the next Porsche model to rise in value.

But if you are going to head down the track use route, a shameless plug for my 924S:

FWIW, John Clay has a really nice 86 944 - Guards red base model that he's toyed with selling over the years..

My 944 is ready. I just need to emotionally let it go, and Pam needs to figure out what she's willing to sell for.

No cracks in the dash.
